About Us
In a world where fitness can feel overly complicated, The MOUVment keeps it simple. We focus on longevity, strength, and mobility by guiding you through mindful movement that supports both body and mind. Our goal is to help you create a balanced, vibrant life by focusing on what matters most to you.
The name "The MOUVment" comes from the French saying ‘Dans le mouv’, meaning "in the groove." At The MOUVment, we’re here to help you find your unique groove, offering a personalized approach to movement that empowers you both inside and outside of the studio.
Our Community
Our group is diverse, compassionate, supportive, and tenacious. The MOUVment welcomes everyone who wants to feel good in their body, but I especially love working with a few often-overlooked populations:
From peri- to post-menopause, I understand women’s bodies function differently at different times in their lives. I love helping clients move through these seasons with integrity and strength.
Women in Transition
Type-A folks as well as those who don’t fit a mold, I’m here for you. I help those who want to add a little structure into their movement practice but don’t have the time or desire to think about a program on their own.
Athletes & Weekend Warriors
Getting older does not mean you have to get weaker or stop living your best life. It’s never too late or too early to sharpen your skills and hone the body’s ability to move.
Aging Populations
Injury is extremely hard, both mentally and physically. Let me walk you through a plan to rebound and get back to feeling and moving like yourself.

About Casey
Hi, I’m Casey Brown, the founder of The MOUVment!
First of all, thank you for trusting me with your most important asset—your ability to move. It’s a responsibility I take seriously, while trying to not take the rest of life too seriously.
If we haven’t met before, I’d love to share a little more about me.
I have always been drawn to movement. At a young age, I started ballet dancing. I also worked at the YMCA, where I met many different people with a variety of bodies, life experiences and stories. Later, I trained clients and taught barre classes at private clubs in the greater Seattle area. Through these experiences, I realized the most important thing for a happy, empowered life is taking ownership of your health.
In 2015, I branched off to build my own thing—The MOUVment. I’m so grateful to continue to serve others through this platform.
When I’m not in the studio, you can find me exploring in the cascades. Every summer I take epic backpacking trips with my favorite adventure crew. The outdoors is where I find the most happiness, and it’s a large part of my motivation for staying strong in between excursions!
Having said that, regular exercise hasn’t always been easy for me. I didn’t grow up as a competitive athlete, and I didn’t start my own movement practice until 2011. Even today, my default can often be to snack on the couch, cuddling with my dog and wife, Heather. My point is, I know movement is something you have to consciously build up in your life, and I have compassion for everyone—no matter the starting place or journey.
I’d love to connect with you and help you build a practice for a good life. Feel free to reach out to me directly!
